Tilt-shifty

Monday, December 29th, 2008

I picked up a new lens as a christmas present to myself at the start of December and I’ve finally had a bit of time to get out shooting with it.  Nothing too exciting so far, just a couple of photos from the neighbourhood.  I plan on going out again this weekend (or possibly even on New Years Day,  hangover depending) with it for some more interesting shots.

Christmas randoms.

I had a bit of a hectic weekend getting ready for Christmas, but I did manage to get a few shots off around the house.  It’s nothing too exciting, but they’re a bit festive at least.

I also got out the tripod and tried a shoot I’ve been thinking about for a while now.  The first attempt was ok, but I think I need to do it again during the day time to really get the effect I’m looking for.

Poor Oswald looks a bit nervous…

Aachen Christmas Markets

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

Just spent the past weekend with my friends Alex & Elaine wandering the streets of Aachen browsing their christmas markets, drinking German beer and fighting off crowds.  Apart from the nearly 2 hour delay in Brussels coming home (fortunately we had travel Scrabble, thanks Elaine!), it was a great couple of days even if I didn’t get nearly as much christmas shopping done as I would have liked.

As usual, couple photos here and the rest are in the gallery.
