Just spent the past weekend with my friends Alex & Elaine wandering the streets of Aachen browsing their christmas markets, drinking German beer and fighting off crowds.  Apart from the nearly 2 hour delay in Brussels coming home (fortunately we had travel Scrabble, thanks Elaine!), it was a great couple of days even if I didn’t get nearly as much christmas shopping done as I would have liked.

My hosting company “upgraded” me and it seems to have broken quite a few things.  I’ve upgraded wordpress but now need up upgrade the gallery mod so that things work like normal again.

Very annoying either way though.

A few of us POTN folks headed out to Scotney Castle this weekend for a bit of a photo shoot.  It was a gorgeous area with a really cool Castle ruin on a small island, and the last of the autum colours will still hanging on which made for some great shooting opportunities.

At the moment, I’m really unhappy with the colour of my new monitor and have ordered a calibration tool which should get here this week.  I’ve posted the photos from the weekend already, but I will likely redo them all as they all look very dark and washed out when not viewed on my overly bright and red-casted desktop.

I went out with a few folks from the POTN crowd I usually shoot with and we joined up with a rather large (25ish) group of photographers who are all part of a London based photography group on Facebook.

The plan was to travel along the southbank (again!) to see the exhibits from the DRIFT 08 show.  As you can imagine, with that many people the plans sort of fell apart fairly quickly.  And to be honest, the displays where less than stellar and didn’t do much to spark my imagination (which I was really hoping for).

I’ve just realized that this site has been up and running for the better part of a year now and managed to avoid photos of my cats somehow.  In order to rectify that, here are a few of the boys and an album is set up here.
